Pupil Voice

We want the children in our school to feel involved in much of the day to day business of school and that their view are listened to.

We aim to achieve this by:

*  Class Council (see more below)

*  School Council (see more below)

*  Pupils running the school library

*  Year 6 Break Buddies at lunchtime

*  Year 6 Break Buddies as mentors for younger children

*  Year 6 'Display Checking' team

*  Older children organising the seating for assembly

*  Older children setting up the OHP for assembly

*  Older children setting up and running the music in assemblies

*  Children giving their input to our weekly school newsletter

School Council

In every class, the children nominate and vote for representatives for School Council, which meets regularly so that pupils have an even stronger voice in our school. Each class has a class council and vote for 2 representatives to sit on School Council.  Ideas from each class feed into School Council, chaired by one of the teachers/SLT member, who then brings these ideas to staff meetings to see what action we can take.  What is discussed is minuted and this information is shared by the class representatives back in class.  It is also put on the School Council display board (and on this website - where possible).
