There are many strong features of the latest report. Here is a flavour:
"...considerable improvements have been made across the school, especially in the development of leadership and management."
"Teaching is improving..."
"...significant improvements have been made to the quality of teaching and learning and leadership and management over the last two years."
"The headteacher is highly ambitious and has a clear understanding of the school's strengths and areas for development."
"Governors understand the school's performance very well..."
"All staff ensure that pupils' welfare and safety are of the highest priority."
"Pupils are polite, respectful and behave well around school and in lessons."
"Pupils' understanding of British values and their spiritual, moral, social and cultural education are exceptionally well developed."
However, the Inspectors' judgement was that there were also several areas for development (see report for details) and that the school "requires improvement" overall. We are continuing to work closely with the Governing body, South Shropshire Academy Trust and all staff to respond positively to the comments made by Ofsted and to take action to move the school forwards even more. Current parents (or new ones on a first visit to school), will notice that several of these actions have already been put in place.
